AHCS EDI Clinical Fellowship
The Academy for Healthcare Science and Office of the Chief Scientific Officer are launching a 12 month Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Clinical Fellowship. It will start in January 2023 and run until December 2023.
Who can apply?
As a healthcare science professional, you will play a key role in embedding EDI across the HCS profession. To succeed in the role, you will:
- Hold a master’s degree or equivalent experience of working at a senior level in specialist area
- Experience and passion in delivering / or supporting the delivery of an EDI related programme
- Ability to work flexibly (the post will be funded on average 2 days a week, dependent on past experience)
- Significant leadership and management experience
- Ability to work autonomously with limited direction
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity and stakeholders with conflicting approaches
What is the timeline for the clinical fellowship?
- 11 October – registration of interest opens
- 24 October – Applications open
- w/c 14 November – Candidates shortlisted
- w/c 28 November – Candidates interviews and presentations
- w/c 12 December – Candidates appointed
- w/c 16 January – Candidates commence
Application process
Candidates will be required to complete an application form which will include the requirement for a short outline proposal on the candidates approach to delivering an EDI strategy and toolkit across the HCS profession. Candidates will be provided with both quantitative and qualitative data from a survey undertaken in 2021 to help inform the outline proposal.
