Application deadline approaching for Mary Macdonald Bursary
The IBMS Mary Macdonald Bursary is given to enable biomedical science support staff to undertake an IBMS Certificate of Achievement Part I or II qualification.This bursary covers the cost of the IBMS Certificate of Achievement Part I or II portfolio and one year's IBMS Associate membership fees for the successful candidate.
Deadlines for applications are 11th January, 11th April, 11th July and 11th October every year.
To apply, you will need to write a supporting statement that outlines how undertaking the Certificate of Achievement Part I or II will benefit your practice and your wider team. Your training officer will also need to supply a supporting statement.
Supporting statements can be sent to supportstaff@ibms.org. All entries will be considered by a panel and the successful candidate or candidates notified.
Please note, the laboratory where you plan to undertake the qualification must hold current IBMS support staff training approval to receive the portfolio. Also, you cannot apply for the bursary to retrospectively cover the cost of an IBMS Certificate of Achievement Part I or II that has already been ordered, paid for or begun.
