Biomedical scientists promote careers at Isle of Man
2 July 2017
Careers in biomedical science were promoted at Noble's Hospital this week

This week, Noble’s Hospital in the Isle of Man ran a fun pathology stand to promote careers in pathology and biomedical science. The biomedical scientists participating in this include Gemma Sutton, Hillary Gale, Beverley Hinks, Pollyanna Rogerson and David Grimshaw.

IBMS member Jan Horne is Secretary of the Isle of Man IBMS branch, and works as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist at Noble's Hospital.

She explained, “We started an event this week for two weeks, where we have a display in the main entrance of the hospital promoting biomedical science as a career, and also information for the general public about what we do in the labs. We will be repeating it again later in the year. Our volunteers office organises student tours every two months and we perform these tours for students as part of their work experience within the hospital.”
