International Pathology Day focuses on emphasising the role of worldwide healthcare

In honour of International Pathology Day, various events happening around the UK, including educational student workshops, introductory pathology courses, and an autopsy update.

This follows National Pathology Week, organised by the Royal College of Pathologists. This year’s theme was ‘Pathology: prevention, diagnosis, treatment’, and pathologists, organisations, laboratory scientists and hospitals around the UK promoted pathology and healthcare science through fun events and activities.

You can follow International Pathology Day events on Twitter using the hashtag #IPD2016.

Among the activities happening today is a roundtable event entitled: How can we strength pathology education & training in low and middle-income countries?

This CPD accredited webinar features speakers including Dr. Suzy Lishman, president of the Royal College of Pathologists, Dr. Alec Howat, president of the British Division of the International Academy of Pathology, Dr. Philip Davies, director-general of the International Cervical Cancer Association, and more.
