IBMS Past President Debra Padgett has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the Academy for Healthcare Science

Each year, the Academy for Healthcare Science awards those who have given an outstanding contribution, in a leadership role, to the development and delivery of Healthcare Science in the UK, or in one or more of the devolved nations of the UK.

This year, IBMS Past President Debra Padgett has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship for her contributions to the healthcare science profession. She said:

I’m truly humbled to have been nominated for the award of Honorary Fellow of the AHCS and it’s with huge gratitude that I accept.

I have always been a passionate advocate for biomedical science, committed to promoting excellence in the profession and wider Healthcare Science agenda.

I’m fortunate to have a role that I can dedicate to supporting those in our profession as well as working alongside Healthcare Science colleagues to shape our future and ensure all of our workforce are recognised for their value at the heart of healthcare.
