NSHCS Stakeholder Recognition Scheme

NSHCS Stakeholder Recognition Scheme
31 March 2022
The National School of Healthcare Science (NSHCS) have established a stakeholder recognition scheme and awarded Associate and Honorary Fellowship status to a broad range of healthcare scientists

In 2021, in gratitude for the work, support and input that many individuals have given to help the School to grow and to deliver its remit, the National School of Healthcare Science (NSHCS) established a stakeholder recognition scheme.

Individuals from across the four nations have been recognised by the scheme and awarded Associate and Honorary Fellowship status.

We were pleased to be notified that IBMS members have been honoured by the scheme and would like to extend our congratulations to:

It is extremely rewarding to have my voluntary contributions acknowledged and to become an associate with the NSHCS. I am proud to be one of the scientific staff who work behind the scenes to keep our NHS and care services functioning. I am pleased that I have helped increase the number of registered Healthcare Scientists (through the IBMS and NSHCS) who are out there performing more of these daily duties keeping pathology at the heart of patient centred services.

Developing the next generation of healthcare scientists with the right skills and knowledge to lead our future services is big passion of mine.  Working with the National School for Healthcare Science on reviewing and developing curriculums for histopathology STP and HSST is a privilege and I was honoured to receive associate status. It is a lovely gesture of appreciation.

It is a privilege to work with the National School in training, developing, and securing the future pathology workforce and to receive associate status in recognition of this is a real honour, I’m delighted.

I am proud to have the work I do for the profession be recognised by one of the organisations working to support Pathology and Healthcare Science.

IBMS Chief Executive David Wells said:

It is great to see so many of our members being honoured by the recognition scheme, and good to know that their work and input is appreciated. There is always great scope for collaboration between the IBMS and the National School of Healthcare Science. With a more integrated approach we can help more healthcare scientists across the four nations to progress.

Congratulations also to IBMS members Helen Sanna and Carol D'Souza on their Associate awards.

If you are aware of any other IBMS members on the list, please do let us know. We would love to get in touch and hear about how they have engaged with the NSHCS.
